of construction and project management experience

With more than 25 years of experience in construction and project management, Principal and Founder Rick Brandenburg brings a unique perspective to every project he represents—one built from experience on both sides of the construction table. Rick began his career as the licensed qualifier and Principal of New England Homeworks, Inc. His hands-on experience managing and executing residential construction projects gave him the clear understanding of the processes for a successful outcome. His early portfolio included custom and speculative homes, senior living facilities and food and beverage. Following the 2008 downturn in the residential construction market, Rick transitioned into commercial construction, spending approximately eight years with a family-owned commercial general contracting company. This experience gave him a deep understanding of the contractor’s perspective—from estimating and scheduling to field operations, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and project delivery. Rick subsequently moved to the owner’s side of the industry, joining CBRE / Turner & Townsend, where he spent approximately a decade providing project and program management services to corporate occupiers and commercial real estate investors. During that time, he managed more than $1.2 Billion in ground-up construction, tenant improvement, and capital improvement projects throughout South Florida. His project experience spans a broad range of asset classes, including office, medical, mixed-use, hospitality, retail, residential, and industrial developments. His responsibilities have included project planning, budgeting, design management, permitting and entitlements, procurement, construction oversight, cost and schedule management, risk mitigation, stakeholder coordination, and project closeout. Today, through Keystone Project Advisors LLC, Rick brings that combined experience directly to property owners and developers. Keystone provides owner’s representation and project management services from entitlements through closeout, helping clients navigate the complexities of construction while protecting their investment, schedule, budget, and objectives. Rick’s approach is grounded in five principles that define the Keystone standard: Professionalism. Respect. Integrity. Dedication. Excellence. He believes an owner’s representative should do more than manage a project—they should think like an owner, anticipate problems before they become expensive, and remain focused on the client’s interests from the first conversation through final completion. Owner Focused. Project Driven.
